Scaffolding Created around all Shrines
As part of preparations scaffolding was created at all Shrines and Vimanas to facilitate the consecration of sanctified water at the time of Kumbhabhishekam.

Pandal for 12 Kala Homams
A pandal was erected to house 108 yaga kundams meant to perform 12 kala homams which began on January 31, 2017.

Sprinklers were set up to spray consecrated water on devotees during Mahakumbhabhishekam. Around 20 huge LED screens were placed inside the temple and around Tiruvannamalai (including the bus stand), to broadcast live streaming of the Mahakumbhabhishekam ritual.

Arunachaleswarar Temple, gopurams, shrines and teerthams were brightly illuminated through the days of this Function.
